Warranty Coverage
We guarantee the workmanship and quality of all tyres supplied and installed by 5 Star Tyres for the usable life of the tyre.
If a manufacturing fault is identified after purchase, we will assess the tyre and, where applicable, offer a pro-rata replacement based on remaining tread depth.
How Pro-Rata Replacement Works
If a tyre has worn beyond normal use, replacement costs are shared based on remaining tread. For example:
If a tyre is 40% worn, 5 Star Tyres may contribute up to 60% of the replacement cost
The customer is responsible for the remaining balance
All warranty claims must be reported within 7 days of identifying an issue.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover tyres that become unserviceable due to the following circumstances:
Road hazard damage (including cuts, punctures, impacts, bruises, or sidewall damage)
Incorrect fitting, wheel imbalance, or improper repairs
Under-inflation, over-inflation, poor maintenance, or misuse
Mechanical issues such as wheel misalignment resulting in uneven or rapid wear
Tyres used with incompatible or improperly sized wheels
Vehicles exceeding the load rating or speed rating specified on the tyre
Second-hand tyres or tyres fitted to used or imported vehicles without proof of purchase
Damage caused by improper storage
Additional Conditions
Warranty claims are subject to inspection by our team
Proof of purchase is required for all claims
Shipping, handling, and removal costs are not covered under this warranty
All warranty assessments are conducted in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights.
